Launch of Issue No. 7 of Australia Together

Issue No. 7 of Australia Together contains 36 new Targets and Strategies bringing the total number of Indicators of the health of the nation that are being measured in Australia Together to 312. The Australia Together data set and plan are vital to the nation's capacity to safely transition to a better future. Issue No. 7 has been updated for the term of the the 47th parliament of Australia. ACFP will measure the parliament's progress toward the preferred future of Australians at the end of the 47th parliament's term of office.

  • Element No. 7 - the Australia Together National Wellbeing Index, and

  • Element no. 8 - the End of Term Report.

Submission to parliamentary Inquiry into Australia's Human Rights Framework.

The federal government has sought submissions on Australia's legal arrangements for human rights. ACFP has submitted a federal Human Rights Act is long overdue but it will not provide sufficient protection for the rights of Australians. Human rights can only be secured by constitutional enshrinement. .

The COP26 meeting in Glasgow in November is a make-or-break meeting for climate change. Negotiators need a new framework to share responsibility fairly for keeping temperature rises below 1.5 degrees Celsius. And Australia needs to shift from being among the least cooperative nations to being a leader in stopping global heating. We can do this. Sign the petition here.
